TUTORIAL

This week was another online consultation session. I showed my sketches for my poster ideas in this session. The first sketch in blue was inspired by dress up games, removing my long hair from past years to reveal my current appearance while surrounded by scraps of materials and art supplies. The second sketch in purple has a similar idea of having scraps of comics around my central current image but using old images around as a way to compare past and present.

Mr Fauzi advised me to go with the second sketch's idea which is more interesting. He also suggested that the animation could be that the cursor moves and clicks on the photos in the photo strip which would change the colour of the images from black and white to colour.

PRACTICAL

During the week, I worked on the static poster. I found the comic pages on Pinterest. The pages are specifically from the comics: Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Everblue webcomic, and Gotham Academy.

I put together the background and the frames for the other photos before editing the images to an appropriate size for them. The end result is this:
