Project 2: Production Shoot & TikTok
INSTRUCTIONS
Project 2A: Production Shoot
We were split into groups to shoot scenes from a trailer. Our group was assigned the trailer for the film Beef, and given specific scenes to shoot in our own style. To emulate a professional shoot, we all had our roles and responsibilities to carry out during and before the shoot. My role as the producer meant that I had to organise the entire crew to ensure that their tasks were assigned and carried out on time. I also assisted in location scouting and props and costume preparation.
Beef Rendang Crew List:
Producer: Denise
Director: Glen
Asst. Director: Alicia
Art Director: Sarah
D.O.P: Aziera
Camera Asst.: Liu Yap
Location Sound: Jia Min
Boom Operator: Natt-Li
Actor 1: Jayden
Actor 2: Vincent
Using the given storyboard, our director wrote the script and acting directions.
Storyboard spreadsheet
We expanded upon the given spreadsheet by adding the props and costumes necessary for each scene and the estimated necessary shooting time for each scene.

As the producer, on shoot day I didn't have much to do and mainly assisted where I could as most of my responsibilities were carried out before the shoot. I also made sure to keep track of our shooting time so that we did not run over time and intrude into the next group's shooting time slot.

Project 2B: TikTok Video
The second part of this task required us to film a tiktok regarding our life on campus. I chose to create a short horror scene implying that I am being chased by deadlines.
The first part included storyboarding the idea.
This part of the project was fairly straightforward, just editing the clips together and adding music on top of it. The final video is shown below.

Project 2A: Production Editing
After we uploaded all the recorded materials to a shared drive, we each had to edit the video.
First was to fix any obvious errors like the tilted video and cropping any shots that were too wide.

After cropping the video clip
After arranging the clips to form a story, I sorted through the audio files and matched them to the relevant sections. Then, it was a matter of adding the necessary effects and finding a background music to fit with the video.
